This is a complete index of 115 plans published in Model Car Racing (and in two books) for 1/32 scale track, including  24 plans for 5 x 9-foot ping-pong tables, and a dozen for 4 x 8-foot areas plus another 79 for larger spaces. The plans are arranged in order by size.
            All of these plans are designed for Carrera, Sport, Scalextric Classic, SCX or NINCO track, however, to build the plan with NINCO track you will need about 10-percent more space and you may need some additional short straights to get everything to line up properly.
            SB indicates plans for the older out-of-production Strombecker Track and there is one plan for Artin track.
            Two-Lane plans are listed first, followed by four-lane plans, then a six-lane plan. Routed plans for hand-made wood tracks are  near  the bottom of the list.
         HO SCALE plans are at the bottom of the page.

Custom-Fitted Tracks From Model Car Racing Plans
            You can custom-fit any of the plans in Model Car Racing but, usually, only to make them larger. Most have places marked with an X or an L where pairs of straight track sections can be inserted to enlarge the plan to any size.
            In some cases you may be able to remove tracks at those points to fit the track into a smaller space but, usually, the plans are as small as they can be for the given area without completely redesigning the track. If the plan is four-lane you can assemble just the inner two lanes and save about a foot of space in both directions. To make the plans fit any smaller space  you will have to use smaller radius curves and, most often, the plan will lose much of it’s realism-in-action---better to pick plan to fit a space that is closer to what you have available.
            If you want to design your own track, or just make a more-informed decision on picking a plan, I recommend that you read  Chapter 7 “Building 1/32 Scale Raceways” in RACING AND COLLECTING SLOT CARS. All of the basics of model race car track design including “Do’s and don’ts”, why borders or shoulders are necessary, and other important aspects of assembling a 1/32 scale model race car track that is both fun and challenging to drive are in that chapter.

SINGLE-LANE (RALLY) HILLCLIMB TRACKS:
•4 x 8-feet, SCB

115  TWO-LANE TRACKS:
Any of these tracks can be converted to Scalextric Sport, NINCO N-Digital or Carrera Digital 132 to allow you to race 6 cars on two lanes (8 cars with N-Digital). Sport has an adaptor track to match Sport Digital to the older Scalextric Classic or standard SCX track.
The SCX Digital track system does not have an outer-outer curve so no plans that utilize this curve can be used with SCX Digital system.

FOUR-LANE TRACKS:
Any of these four-lane tracks can be adapted to two-lanes by removing the outer two lanes and deducting a foot from the width and length.
Also, as two-lane tracks, they can be converted to digital using Scalextric Sport Digital, NINCO N-Digital or Carerra Digital 132 to race up to 6 cars (8 cars with N-Digital on two lanes.

Artin track has the same 30/60/90-degee geometry and same choice of four different diameter curves as Carrera track but the track sections and curve diameters are much smaller. Some of the plans for Carrera can be adapted to Artin in about 10-perecnet less space.
